The Innovation in Law Studies Alliance (ILSA), an initiative aiming to help law schools modernize study programs, will gather some of the most renowned experts in innovating legal education. The webinar takes place on 16th December at 4 pm GMT.

ILSA, launched earlier this year, plans to work with university leaders and lecturers to help them recognize opportunities in areas like legal innovation, digital transformation, legal tech, law firm management, among others. Its ultimate goal is to prepare the coming generations for a paradigm shift in the legal services sector.

The webinar will take place as an open event, and ILSA cordially invites you to tag along and ask your questions to some of the trailblazers in this space.

Over the course of 90 minutes, the event will reflect on how universities train future legal professionals. More specifically, the speakers will discuss:

  • The most common traits of successful lawyers of today;
  • If universities are able to teach their students the most critical skills needed to succeed;
  • How does the profile of successful lawyers evolve, and what is exactly changing, if anything;
  • What will be crucial focal points for coming generations?

The speakers

Christophe Roquilly, Dean of Faculty and Research at EDHEC Business School and Director of EDHEC Augmented Law Institute;

Daniel Linna, Senior Lecturer & Director of Law and Technology Initiatives at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law & McCormick School of Engineering;

Juan Gustavo Corvalán, Director of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Buenos Aires;

Neil du Toit, Data Analyst at the University of Cape Town;

María Jesús González-Espejo, President of ILSA and Director of the Instituto de Innovación Legal.

Make sure to register here to attend this ILSA’s open event on 16th December at 4 pm GMT.
